Vulnerability Insight: Multiple flaws exist due to: - A heap buffer overflow vulnerability in the 'moov atom'. - A heap buffer overfolw vulnerability in the 'atom processing'. Vulnerability Impact: Successful exploitation will allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code under the context of the QuickTime player. Affected Software/OS: Apple QuickTime version 7.7.9 and earlier on Windows. Solution: No known solution was made available for at least one year since the disclosure of this vulnerability. Likely none will be provided anymore. General solution options are to upgrade to a newer release, disable respective features, remove the product or replace the product by another one.
