Vulnerability Insight: The following vulnerabilities exist: - The Add User function of the User Manager pages has a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the User Name Field - Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) for deleting a database via the /?q=wrkfrm&type=databases URI - Remote Code Execution (RCE) vulnerability after an attacker writes shell code into the database, and executes the Backup Database function with a .php filename for the backup's archive file Vulnerability Impact: Successful exploitation would allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code on the target machine. Affected Software/OS: MyWebSQL through version 3.8. Solution: No known solution was made available for at least one year since the disclosure of this vulnerability. Likely none will be provided anymore. General solution options are to upgrade to a newer release, disable respective features, remove the product or replace the product by another one.
